Who we are: We are a passionate group of lactation consultants serving the Phoenix Arizona area and beyond. We provide a holistic approach to breastfeeding, providing up-to-date, evidence-based care to the nursing dyad.
We strive to provide world class breastfeeding / lactation support to all moms regardless of where they come from! Whether you travel from Casa Grande, live here in Scottsdale, or fly in from out of state to see us - we are here and our private office with individual exam rooms has all of the staff and tools necessary to see a successful journey for you and your newborn.
We believe in helping those who not only have a one-day old newborn, but those who continue to feed until they are 36 months old and still feeding. We are here to meet you with “where you are at” in your feeding journey.
Our highly trained staff of IBCLCs provide counseling on not only common feeding issues (such as: latch, positioning, milk production, and infant cues) but more challenging ones as well. Our clinic also can provide rental breast pumps and counsel on feeding therapy if that is the path you take.
We also treat more complicated issues as that arise, such as mastitis, milk blebs, clogged ducts - you name it. Here, in office we have equipment to provide ultrasound or even ozone therapy to help treat these issues. We can also order and review blood work results to seek answers to issues such as low milk supply. If necessary, we are able to prescribe medication for issues like mastitis and thrush if needed. And, we also assess and perform CO2 laser tongue- and lip-tie revisions if you choose this option for treatment if there are any oral restriction(s) observed.
Dr. Cara (DNP, RN, FNP-BC, IBCLC, DABLS, FAANP) and her team will meet with you and come up with a comprehensive treatment plan that is unique to you and your goals to help you get off and feeding.
Our practice is contracted as an in-network provider with: Aetna, Banner Aetna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, TRICARE-West, and Arizona AHCCCS Medicaid plans: Banner University Family Care, BCBS Health Choice, and Arizona Complete Health/Ambetter.
